PACT Qualifies for State 2 Years in a Row

Congratulations to this year's PACT purple team for placing 5th at theSan Joaquin Regional Science Olympiad competition. The students did an amazing job garnering medals to qualify for NorCal State Finals April 12th at CSU Stanislaus. Regional winners included  Shaming Lo and Alisa Carrillo placing 2nd in Rocks and Minerals, Shaming Lo and Nathan Da earning 2nd in Boomilever, Gabriel Rojas and Alejandro Malance scoring 2nd in Wheeled Vehicle, Kaily Tran and Hanna Lao placing 2nd in Robo Cross and Alejandro Malance and Markie scoring 2nd in Entomology.  The Gold team of Julianna Foster and Gerold Xiong placed 3rd in Boomilever. These medal winners. plus several more 4th-7th place finishes, gained the purple team enough points to attend the State Finals in Turlock. Competition was fierce that day with the top 4 teams from all regions, from Bakersfield to Oregon, testing their knowledge of Science. Once again Shaming Lo and Nathan Da built an award winning boomilever - they scored 2nd place at state!

Pennies for Patients

Mrs. Williamson's Class donates $376

Peyton's Pennies for Patients fundraiser was a huge success with the school donating a total of $3,032 to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.  Mrs. Williamson's class won first prize for Peyton's fundraiser incentive.  That meant Mrs. Jackson-Gutierrez taught the class a lesson dressed as a duck, after delivering them a pizza party for lunch.  Congratulations kids, hope you all enjoyed learning from your quacky principal!
